Summary You will serve as a Limited Dismantler Mechanic in the Production Resources Department, Shop 75 of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will remove hydraulic, pneumatic, water, fuel, electrical components and wiring systems for recycle processes. You will perform work in removal of the following hazardous materials, but not limited to: Asbestos, PCB's, Toxic metals (lead, chromate, cadmium, etc.). You will be responsible for keeping work area clean by removing unused material, cleaning of spills, properly stowing materials, parts and tools. You will be responsible to keep combustible materials such as rags, paper, flammable liquids, etc. in proper containers. You will work on Opacity tent movement, maintenance and repair including the replacement of damaged ventilation and containment fabric. You will remove asbestos insulation; fabricate and install other insulating materials on a variety of conventional and one-of-a-kind enclosures throughout ships being dismantled. You will conduct all major equipment disassembly, demolition, recycling and preparation for rigging removal to include all piping and valve, electrical component/cable, insulation, thermal/non-thermal, structural/non-structural.
