PURPOSE OF POSITION: New hire Qualified Locomotive Electrician will receive a $15,000 signing bonus.An electrician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining diesel locomotive electrical systems in accordance with company guidelines and federal regulations; detecting and diagnosing diesel engine electrical malfunctions, and making necessary repairs. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Electrical repair and maintenance of diesel locomotives Electrical modifications/upgrades to locomotive systems Diagnostic trouble shooting with onboard computer systems/laptops Will be responsible for other duties as assigned in compliance with FRA Rules and Safety Regulations POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED required Journeyman Electrician is preferred, but will consider applicants with related electrical experience Diesel electrical experience ispreferred.
