Job Description Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Engineering Specialist will work in a production shop environment and serve as manufacturing engineer, learning the processes, hardware, specs, and quality requirements. You will have hardware ownership as ME with midframe and/or component hardware of a midframe. Green Cell is also a Model line and will be undergoing a transformation during 2024 which will expose them to lean principles and techniques. This is an invaluable opportunity to be in a dynamic area with regular report outs and visibility to senior leadership. Manufacturing Engineer will be coached and given autonomy to have a fulfilling role with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. High opportunity area for RCCA and process improvement.
KPIs include (safety) improvement of I&I's, (quality) first time yield improvements and Cost of Quality (rework and scrap), (delivery) midframes shipped, (inventory) reduction of aged WIP, (productivity) process improvements to increase efficiency. Quantifiable job outcomes include reducing cost of quality (rework and scrap) by 50% year over year, reduce MRB (Material Review Board) line items by 25% year over year, reduce aged WIP greater than 365 days to $0, support a zero I&I safety culture, and production ramp to 15 and then 20 midframes per week

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma with with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
A minimum of 3 additional years of experience in manufacturing
