YOUR DAY-TO-DAY • Cleaning, checking and maintaining of dishwashing machines to a good condition and in continual working order. • Assist the chefs with preparation and/or general kitchen duties. Work in accordance with the daily production schedule. • Ensure a constant and sufficient supply of equipment and clean utensils to all outlets at all times. • Collection of all garbage and maintain the cleanliness of bins and garbage room at all times. • Maintain the cleanliness and conduct regular checks on the staff dining area to ensure it is clean, tidy and replenished. • Pride in personal appearance and behaviour in and around the Hotel. • Work rotation roster in line with business needs. • Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled. • All china ware, hollow ware, glass ware is stored as per policy and procedures, areas kept clean and organised, and broken or damage equipment is disposed off & recorded to avoid contamination by foreign objects. • Complies with all cleaning requirements as per schedule for all kitchen areas & completes kitchen cleaning schedule daily. Compliance with the stewarding cleaning and sanitation guidelines as displayed in our Food Safety Procedures. • Understanding of the different key roles in the safe application and usage of detergents, sanitisers and disinfectants. • Required to wear non-slip shoes all the times. PPE to be worn when cleaning ovens, grills and fryers at all times. Display appropriate signage when cleaning floors. • Demonstrate a sound awareness of OH&SW policies and procedures and ensures all procedures are upheld across the department
