Job Overview
Performs high quality pediatric Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures.Provides conscientious patient care while adhering to all quality and safetystandards. Performs administrative duties including but not limited toscheduling appointments, patient instructions, and maintenance of records.This position is responsible for communicating regularly with patients,families, and all hospital and community caregivers while followingdepartment expectations for interactions with patients and families. Requiredto be on call depending on location.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited Radiology program required.EXPERIENCE: Background in Radiology strongly preferred.CERTIFICATION(S):American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered RadiologyTechnologist ARRT(R) required.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for HealthcareProvider required.ACLS certification required.

Operates Fluoroscopic and Ultrasonic equipment to produce high quality imageswhile accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology. AssistsInterventionalist with performing procedures to include; scrubbing cases,maintaining a sterile field, and circulating procedure
Facilitates patient flow daily; to include management of STAT/urgent andhigh priority patients.
Provides age-appropriate care and appropriately prepares patients forprocedures.
Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure and care topatients, families, coworkers, and others.
Operates all imaging equipment; to include ancillary equipment followingsafety procedures and protocols.
Demonstrates and utilizes principles of ALARA (As Low As ReasonablyAchievable) and ensures proper radiation safety practices.
Competent in dose reduction techniques and the Image Gently Campaign.
Demonstrates and maintains competency and ability to use all aspects ofRadiology Information System (RIS), Electronic Medical Records(EMR), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) as it
