Head Baker with Carissa’s Bakery in East Hampton, NYCarissa’s Bakery needs a Head Baker with a diploma or certificate in Baking / Culinary Arts or related field. Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience operating a bakery shop or restaurant. Job duties: • Create recipes for new baked goods and pastries that are requested by customers, appropriate for the season, and in coordination with the menu• Adapt recipes on a daily basis according to weather, food ingredients and food availability • Prepare, weigh, and shape various types of bread and pastry dough• Use and operate commercial bakery machinery• Bake bread and viennoiserie (Vienna style pastries) for early morning pre-opening• Manage a team of bakers and pastry makers to ensure quality control • Supervise food production to ensure quality standards and menu specification• Set up bakery store’s daily display to showcase the food products• Establish and set bakery business operation goals and priorities• Maintain and ensure compliance of health requirements and protocols• Work in fast-moving, high-volume bakery kitchenWork schedule: Thursday - Monday 4:30AM-2:30PM, including holidays, East Hampton, NYSalary: $62,500.
