Support involves day-to-day interactions withinternal parties such as legal, contracting, NEPA, and communications,as well as external communication with project recipients in academia,private industry, and National Laboratories.The position will directly support projects in the Geothermal TechnologiesOffice (GTO) in scientific, engineering, and technical analyses. Theposition will primarily support GTO's Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS)portfolio. This research focuses on improving the technologies and overallreservoir performance of high-temperature (> 150C), low-permeability(sub-mD) subsurface geothermal systems and expanding technology deploymentthrough field-based demonstration opportunities. Expertise in hydrothermalreservoir systems, hydraulic fracture mechanics, well construction, wellcompletions design and/or subsurface reservoir management would be stronglydes
Position Responsibilities:Provide project management, performance monitoring, documentation, andprogress assessment for GTO-funded projects.Support the development, coordination, and management of competitivesolicitations and merit reviews.Engage with GTO stakeholders on an appropriate level to ensure needs and gapsare being addressed where possible at the Federal level.Assist in the development of internal briefing materials for decision makersand contribute technical review of external communications.Successfully represent the program status to senior government officials,congressional stakeholders, academia, and industry partners.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline(Geology, Geophysics, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems, etc.).5+ years of subsurface reservoir and/or operations experience.Client/stakeholder relations.Professional attitude.Strong attention to detail.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Access.Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills.Familiar with geothermal technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Expertise in geothermal reservoir systems, rilling/well construction,well completion design, reservoir characterization, andproduction/injection operations are strongly desired.Project management experience/PMP certification is a plus.Ability to actively track and monitor government-funded research anddevelopment projects.Experience working within DOE EERE.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highlydynamic collaborative team.Ability to balance multiple long and short-term projects and competingpriorities.Benefits:Boston Government Services offers a competitive total compensation package.Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PaidVacation, 401K, Long and Short-Term Disability.Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between$75,000 and $100,000 annually is commensurate with experience relativeto the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.EEO:Boston Government Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Actionemployer.
