Robert Half is currently recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst for our Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods client. Direct the development of forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, build long-range operating plans to support business initiatives, and drive world class strategic and financial planning methods in this Senior Financial Analyst position. You will conduct the improvement upon monthly and quarterly reporting, while also operationalize and cultivate data-driven planning processes. Make a difference as a Senior Financial Analyst in a pivotal role, which gives you the opportunity to directly work with senior leadership of the company and contribute a strategic input. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be in charge of the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and monthly outlooks) while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will furnish variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Emeryville, California area.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Work closely with Accounting and Finance business users to understand business
processes and requirements, translate those business needs into process improvement and
technical enhancements.
· Work closely with Microsoft and other software partner and internal development
resources to ensure proper communication and understanding of business requirements.
· Create detailed IT functional designs and test scripts for technical and end-user testing.
· Implement functional configuration changes to D365 Finance modules, such as, general
ledger, fixed assets, project management, accounts receivable, credit and collections,
accounts payable, inventory/costing, as well as Management Reporter and DMF.
· Create and perform functional testing of all system defects and enhancements.
· Assist with routine patch testing and upgrades and oversee the conversion of data and
testing of interfaces/extensions as necessary.
· Follow the established SDLC and IT Change Management process.
· Triage and resolve finance system issues. Finance systems include, but not limited to,
D365 F& O Finance modules, ISVs: SKG Treasury Automation Suite, ExFlow, Flintfox,
Avalara Tax
Requirements
Ability to model business data, workflows and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 application within the Finance and Accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, budgeting, costing, asset management, treasury, credit & collections, and financial reporting.
· Ability to model business processes and data as it relates to the full end-to-end business
operation including order to cash, procure to pay, and record to report processes.
· 5 to 7 years of overall information technology experience
· 3+ years of D365 Finance or Dynamics AX functional consulting and support experience.
· Possess strong technical knowledge (e.g., SQL, integrations) and specialize in Finance and
Accounting systems and processes.
· 3+ or more years of progressive functional experience implementing and supporting ERP
application modules, e.g., GL, AP, AR, FA, INV, PO, etc. D365 F& O Finance modules and
ISV experience preferred.
· Demonstrated track record of quality delivery, interpersonal and cross-functional
relationship skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and ensure follow-through on
committed deliverables.
· Ability to work independently, but also work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced
environment with changing priorities.
· Ability to review technical design documents to ensure developers are aligned with
functional requirements.
· Dynamic, driven individual with solid problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present and
communicate, with influence and confidence, to a technical and non-technical audience.
· Ability to work flexible schedule
