Description Our client is looking for a dynamic Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their staff. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, and payroll. The Full Charge Bookkeeper might also govern the clerical staff. Self-driven and organized accounting professionals might be interested in this Bookkeeper role if they thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Austin, Texas area.
Your responsibilities
Arrange subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Alternative special projects as requested
Produce cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Group sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Note budget transfers
Supply cash flow projections, as needed
Manage Accounts Receivable
Business license and gross receipts coverage
Look after Accounts Payable
Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation
Administer monthly accounting close Requirements - Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
Adeptness in Full Cycle Payroll
Full charge bookkeeping experience desired
Knowledge of QuickBooks
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Strong familiarity with billing
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of related experience- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
