Job Description:
The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Coordinator I. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing financial aid processes, coordinating office operations, and supporting student success.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Aid Processing
Efficiently administer financial aid applications for transient and study abroad students, ensuring timely and accurate support.
Track and maintain records for operational financial aid data to inform strategic decisions.
Support aid processing and disbursements in various areas as needed.
Provide information to students and parents during presentations or workshops for prospective and current students.
Document Processing
Manage the receipt and initial processing of incoming scholarship funds, ensuring proper allocation and record-keeping.
Coordinate outgoing deliveries, including routine correspondence and seasonal bulk mailings to prospective and continuing students.
Manage document imaging and preservation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Administrative Support
Coordinate correspondence between the University Athletic Association, the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, and student-athletes.
Support the leadership team with scheduling, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks.
Organize, coordinate, and respond to student inquiries escalated by Enrollment Management and campus partners, ensuring prompt and helpful responses.
Additional Duties
Hire, train, and supervise student assistants, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
Occasionally travel to deliver financial aid presentations and attend professional development workshops, enhancing knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the office.
Expected Salary:
$43,888 annually

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Student financial aid experience preferred.
