About Customer Service Representative

Description

Our client, a highly respected organization in the insurance industry which gives endlessly to their communities, is hiring a Customer Support Representative for their Customer Service Center. As a Customer Support Representative, you will provide customer service by telephone to all customers and occasionally through written correspondence. Additionally, you'll assist customers with product related requests, by analyzing customer inquiries, determining, calculating, and processing requests for resolution.

You'll positively impact this team in the following ways:

-Excellent communication skills to explain insurance products to customers

-Ability to handle matters that can highly sensitive and emotional

-Strong decision making and analytical abilities as you analyze customer inquiries, determine steps for resolution, research member files, analyze certificate provisions to determine methods of affecting desired changes (i.e. change of beneficiary, type of insurance, change in method of payment, etc)

Position supports a hybrid work schedule launching with onsite training, continuing your learning and development in a hybrid capacity, with much of a typical month able to leverage WFH flexibility and collaborating with your colleagues in office a few days each month. Team members enjoy a rotating schedule every 2 weeks of 8a to 4p and 9a to 5p.

Requirements

What skills we are looking for:

-Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word)

-Accurate typing and data entry skills

-Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged complaints and issues with empathy and professionalism, ensuring customers feel heard and supported

-Demonstrated use of analytical strengths and sound reasoning ability
