About Field Supervisor

  Summary

  Field Supervisor position is a pivotal role and is responsible for achieving and maintaining all Client and Customer standards by guiding and overseeing the activities of your team of Retail Merchandisers at retail accounts within an assigned territory.

  Job Responsibilities:

  Train Retail Merchandisers and ensure they are equipped and prepared to perform all assigned job responsibilities.

  Track and manage performance to ensure associates meet/exceed the merchandizing requirements as established by the client.

  Partner with client representatives to conduct in-store training and development days for team members.

  Assign merchandisers to stores and maintain work schedules for direct reports.

  Complete store audits to ensure merchandisers are properly performing each task.

  Complete timely and accurate reporting including: recaps, itineraries, timekeeping, expense and other required reports.

  Job Requirements:

  High school diploma or G.E.D., some college courses or equivalent job-related experience.

  2 plus years merchandising experience.

  1 to 2 years lead or supervisory experience.

  Ability to hire, train, and develop associates to build an effective team.

  Ability to develop robust peer relationships.

  Must be able to present information to store management and to participate in meetings with other business partners.

  Responsibilities

  The Field Supervisor is responsible to supervise Retail Merchandisers and ensure all goals are achieved by maintaining all Client and Customer Standards merchandising products at retail accounts within an assigned territory.

  Job Responsibilities

  Team Management

  Train Retail Merchandisers and ensure they are equipped and prepared to perform all assigned job responsibilities. Creating and managing score card to ensure associate meets the merchandizing requirements as established by the client. Partners with client representatives to conduct in store training and development days for team members Assign merchandisers to stores and maintain work schedules for direct reports Complete store audits to ensure merchandisers are properly performing each task and all standards are met.

  Merchandising Support Supports team members by ensuring all aspect of the merchandizing process are in place and meet the client and customer objectives. Conducts periodic distribution audits and processes daily reports as necessary.

  Administration and Reporting Complete timely and accurate, recaps, itineraries, timekeeping, expense and other required reports.

  Job Requirements

  Education and Experience High school diploma or G.E.D., some college courses or equivalent job-related experience.

  2 plus years merchandising experience 1 to 2 year's lead or supervisory experience.

  Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Software/Tools

  Ability to hire, train, and develop associates to build an effective team.

  Interpersonal savvy and ability to develop peer relationships.

  Ability to plan by incorporating good problem solving skills and prioritizing to obtain results.

  Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  Strong critical thinking skills Must be able to present information to store management and be able to participate in meetings with other business partners Must be able to prioritize effectively.

  Basic computer skills Ability to access internet and use company software consistent with job duties.

  Other Requirements

  Strong understanding and utilization of proper safety techniques and correct use of equipment when appropriate.

  Supervisory Responsibilities

  This position directly manages assigned direct reports Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, develops and empowers direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources.

  Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  Travel and Driving is an essential duty and function of this job and requires the use of Personal Vehicle Travel required on an as needed basis Must maintain current and valid driver's license and valid proof of current insurance

  Environmental & Physical Requirements In a work day, employee would perform the following:

(medium) Work on Unprotected Heights Use Hand Tools/Equipment (Knife, choppers, hammer, scraper, screwdriver) Be Exposed to Marked Changes in Temperature and Humidity Work in Freezer/Coolers Be Exposed to Harmful Fumes and/or Other Pollutants Use Feet and/or Legs for: Repetitive Motion (Left, Right) Use Fingers, Hands and/or Arms for: Fine Manipulation (typing - keyboards/handhelds) Use Fingers, Hands and/or Arms for: Finger/Hand Grip/Grasping Use Fingers, Hands and/or Arms for: Firm Grasping (pushing pulling arm Controls) Use Fingers, Hands and/or Arms for: Repetitive Motion Lifting and/or Carrying: 21- 50 lbs. (medium)

  Frequently (33-66% of the time) Work in High Volume Large Format Retail Stores Work in High Volume Large Format Grocery Store(s) Work in High Volume Other Type of Retail Sit Stand Walk Push/Pull: Up to 10 pounds (sedentary) Push/Pull: 11 - 20 lbs. (light) Lifting and/or Carrying: Up to 10 pounds (sedentary) Lifting and/or Carrying: 11 - 20 lbs. (light)
