Christman Constructors is seeking Project Manager candidates who are experienced in general trades for construction projects in our Southeast Michigan region.Position Summary  This Project Manager position will provide overall leadership of general trades projects including but not limited to responsibility for overall safety, profitability and quality of projects.Basic Duties & Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ensure that safety goals are achieved for responsible projects and identify safe work practices and areas for improvementProvide professional conduct on behalf of Christman ConstructorsForecast project cost to completion, and project gross profit for each monthly closeCoordinate directly with Chief of Civil/Concrete Estimating for estimate and bid support including take-off, estimates, proposals and pricingCommunicate project goals with field leadership and coordinate planning effortProject planning including conceiving of civil and concrete means/methods, schedules, change order time and costs, as well as coordinate subcontractorsDetermine subcontractor/vendor buyout, commitments and scope executionDevelop project budgets based on current estimates and proposalsVendor and subcontractor invoice approvalDevelop Schedule of Values (SOV), Owner invoices and ensure timely Owner paymentsEstimate and quote extra work and document changes, ensure extras are loaded into Viewpoint/logs and track/act on Owner contract changesEnsure that project controls such as safety forms, work plans, submittals, RFI's, logs and documents are organized, submitted, closed and completeWork with project team to develop project and look-ahead schedules. Provide periodic review of schedules to ensure milestone dates are met and schedule delays are documentedDraft and submit project correspondence in order to document risk-related issues such as delays, claims, extra work and safety hazardsPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, iPads, photocopiers, video conferencing and presentation screens.Expected Hours of Work This position regularly requires flexibility in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, priorities and unpredictable events. Occasional unscheduled overtime and weekend support is required.Travel Travel is limited and primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-area and overnight travel.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration, project management, civil engineering, construction management, or other relevant coursework.Five (5+) or more years of relevant work experience or proven established work history for the position.Additional Eligibility QualificationsStress Tolerance- Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition.
