SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Planning & Implementation: Develop and execute strategic plansfor the fair park, aligning with Jefferson County\'s broader strategicobjectives. Address community concerns and incorporate feedback intopark operations and event planning. Event Management and Promotion:Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events, includingthe county fair, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Promoteevents to maximize community engagement and participation. FacilityManagement: Ensure the maintenance and improvement of fair parkfacilities. Implement \'corrections\' and upgrades based on communityfeedback and strategic objectives. Financial Management: Prepares,recommends, and administers an annual budget for the Fair Park includingpersonnel, operations, and maintenance, ensuring the Fair and Fair Parkare, to the greatest extent possible, self-sustaining. Calculate andrecord department expenses and revenue. Plan programs of events orschedules of activities. Plan, organize, or lead group activities forcustomers, such as exercise routines, athletic events, or arts andcrafts. Resolve customer complaints regarding worker performance orservices rendered. Talk to coworkers using electronic devices, such ascomputers and radios. Talk to customers to convey information aboutevents or activities. Train workers in company procedures or policy.Write and present strategies for recreational facility programming usingcustomer or employee data. Write budgets to plan recreational activitiesor programs. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Requirements: A Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration,Recreation Facilities Management, or related field plus six yearsexperience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with facility or trade shows including budgeting, facilitiesand grounds, maintenance. Preferred Requirements: A master\'s Degree inBusiness Administration, Recreation Facilities Management, or relatedfield plus six years of experience; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.
