This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.To support Blue Origin's ambitious vision of millions of people living and working in space, we are seeking a qualified Construction Project Manager to join our facilities team in Kent, Washington. The Washington Construction Management Team is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of industrial, office, warehouse, and testing facilities to support the rapid growth of aerospace programs at Blue Origin's headquarters. This Construction Project Manager position will act as an owner's representative for Blue Origin. This role will have a direct impact on multiple Blue Origin initiatives, including our Blue Engines, New Glenn, New Shepard, and Lunar programs.Special MentionsRelocation providedRegional Travel around Kent, WA to various job sitesShifts available: Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)Interviews will include a technical assessmentResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Oversee multiple construction projects of varying complexity, budget, and duration for new and existing Blue Origin facilitiesWork with internal customers to gather requirements for constructionLead the Programming and Design Development efforts, often working with external architects and engineering design firmsDevelop construction cost estimates for business case justificationsReduce expected construction costs through Value EngineeringWrite Request-For-Proposals, comparing quotes, and issuing purchase orders to the selected vendors, in partnership with our Procurement teamPrepare and submit permit packages to the regional citiesPermit management, tracking, and documentationWork with the local, regional, state, and national Authorities Having Jurisdiction to ensure construction is completed in a state of compliance to all regulations and codes we are subject toCreate baseline project budgets and financial forecastsManage and track project costs by working closely with Blue Origin's finance teamDevelop and manage schedule milestones for design, procurement, construction, and commissioningCoordinate with and hold accountable your General Contractor counterpart to achieve all milestones regarding procurement, construction, and installation activitiesManage all RFIs and construction approval submittalsPresent report-outs to senior leadership on the financial and schedule status of projectsPlan and maintain safe construction working environmentsMinimum Qualifications:3+ years of construction project management experienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent on-the-job experience (4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree)Competence with the Microsoft Software Suite (in particular, MS Project and Excel)Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred Qualifications:Experience working as a General Contractor or as a subcontractor to a GCExperience in Industrial or Commercial constructionProject Management Certification (PMP or other)Experience in the full lifecycle of a construction project: from requirements gathering to turnover for operationsExperience preparing cost estimates using CSI MasterFormat or Uniformat II standardsExperie
