Coordinatesmaintenance of buildings and grounds. Also coordinates with vendorsneeded for electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc. Prepares securityschedule and ensures coverage of security guard shifts. The Director ofFacilities coordinates the agency key control policy. Serves as SecurityDirector, ensuring a safe and secure environment. The Director ofFacilities is a member of Safety Committee. Performs safety inspectionsand reports to the Safety Committee. Serves as Disability AccessCoordinator ensuring that facilities comply with ADA requirements andthat disabled clients/employees have adequate access to SSTAR services.The Director of Facilities chairs Disability Committee. Schedulesdisability-related staff trainings for staff as appropriate. Coordinatesagency response to SSTAR-owned vehicle accidents and other insuranceclaims. Other duties as assigned. Experience and Skills: Education &Experience Degree in business management or related field preferred.Healthcare experience, preferred. Knowledge of general plumbing,electrical and other preventive maintenance, and repairs. Strongorganizational and problem-solving skills. High degree of tact anddiplomacy. Good Judgement especially regarding safety and riskmanagement issues. Ability to supervise, lift at least 50lbs, andperform tasks requiring repetitive bending. Strong Project Managementskills.
