This position is Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 2:00pm.
I. Job Summary
Our Fly Ash Technician provides support to our Fly Ash Beneficiation Services programs. This support includes sampling, lab testing, data entry, truck loading, communication, equipment maintenance, non-hazardous chemical handling, and assisting when extra personnel are needed.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with power plant personnel, customers and drivers.
Obtain ash samples from silos, precipitators and trucks and perform lab tests per established company guidelines. Communicate test results to power plant and FlyAshDirect personnel, and effectively manage ash quality and silo levels to ensure product availability to customers.
Clean and maintain all FlyAshDirect equipment in optimal working order, including scales, lab equipment, etc.
Coordinate with plant personnel in the loading of customer fly ash trucks, as well as to ensure quality fly ash availability to customers.
Coordinate with customers and haulers to supply customer needs from other FlyAshDirect plants when fly ash is not available locally.
Maintain, update and distribute daily, weekly and monthly sales, product samples and testing data in compliance with FlyAshDirect policies and state and local regulations.
All other duties as assigned.

A. Experience
Education: Not required.
Experience: Two years of prior experience working in coal fired power plants or related field and/or working in materials testing laboratory.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
You must be at least 21 years of age or older
You must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Basic computer knowledge i.e. email, file management, etc.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel
