  Title: Director, Partner Development

  You have a measurable track record and you are passionate about building partner teams. You key responsibility will be to drive a successful team of Partner Development Managers who are responsible for leading key Partner relationships across the region. You will work closely with the field sales team to establish meaningful relationships and execute sales plans and go to market strategies.

  Leading a team of PDMs; training, mentoring, performance management and goal setting

  Accurate forecasting and pipelining of opportunities

  Meeting and exceeding set sales quotas while adhering to Splunk’s sales rules of engagement.

  Build business plans with large strategic partnership

  Enthusiastically work to improve partner total sales potential through standard methodologies, training and support.

  Communicate masterfully with partners on products and service offerings.

  Build systems and procedures to streamline partner management.

  Work with marketing to drive programs and events to extend the relationships to new prospects.

  Continually learning about new products and improving selling skills.

  Provide weekly reporting of pipeline and forecast using the Salesforce automation tool.

  Keep abreast of competition, and trends, issues and products.

  Attend and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.

  Define and execute partner sales plans and regular progress checkpoint reviews.

  Qualifications: yep, I've done this!

  Experience leading a team of PDMs in a fast-growing software enterprise company (similar to Splunk’s industry)

  Ability to grow and scale upward with the company with first line management experience

  Extensive direct and channel Enterprise Software selling experience to large enterprises companies is required

  Track record of success and knowledge with Enterprise VARs and Systems Integrators in the defined territory and references to back up success and reputation

  Forecasting commitments and forecasting accuracy

  Thrives in a fast-paced, fast-growing, rapidly changing environment

  Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate

  Meaningful software experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management

  Use CRM systems (Salesforce) extensively

  Strong executive presence and polish

  Outstanding management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills

  Prefer Melbourne location but Sydney will be considered

  Note:

  OTE Range

  For sales roles starting salaries are expressed as On Target Earnings or OTE (OTE = base + on-target incentives in the form of sales commission plans).

  Australia

  On Target Earnings: AUD 348,000.00 - 478,500.00 per year

  Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
