Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager near Oak Brook, Illinois. This role is in the manufacturing industry and involves close interaction with the bookkeeping and data entry teams. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing for month-end closes, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing and reconciliation of financial transactions

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation for monthly financial close

• Utilize Sage 100 and other Accounting Software Systems for bookkeeping tasks

• Develop and implement efficient accounting functions within the team

• Work closely with a cross-functional team, including data entry personnel

• Conduct regular audits of financial statements for accuracy and compliance

• Assist in the transition of raw materials to finished goods within the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system

• Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to team members

• Implement efficient billing functions to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting management role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

• Extensive knowledge of various Accounting Functions is necessary.

• A strong background in Auditing will be beneficial.

• Experience in Billing Functions is a must.

• Proficiency in Sage 100 is desirable.

• Experience in managing Month End Close activities is required.
