Position: Detention Deputy

　　Duties: Actively supports and upholds the stated mission and values ofthe employer. Protects the well-being of prisoners and ensures the protectionof inmates' constitutional rights in the custody of the Sheriff at theFremont County Detention Facility. Performs routine work in the safekeepingof prisoners and oversees them in their quarters and during transport. Servesas a representative of the employer, demonstrating a positive attitude andprogressive actions through a display of professionalism, courtesy, andappropriate tact and discretion in all interactions with other employees,inmates, and the public.

　　Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree; or one(1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.Valid Colorado driver's license required. Minimum age is twenty-one (21).First Aid/CPR and Arrest Control certifications are taught by the FCSO andmust be maintained throughout employment.

　　Other Requirements: Must pass post offer, pre-employment drug screenfor illegal and prescription drugs including cannabis; pre-employmentphysical and medical clearance; a background investigation and integrityinterview. Must successfully complete the Pre-Service Training Program uponemployment.

　　Wage: $20.44 per hour. Paid every 2 weeks.

　　Shift: Full time, 40 hours per week, must be able work Shifts,holidays and weekends.
