Livingston County is seeking a highly motivated, pioneering, community-oriented County Administrator to continue building positive momentum while managing the day-to-day operations for one of the most innovative counties in New York State and beyond.
Serving as the county's Chief Administrative Officer and Budget Officer, the County Administrator will lead a performance-focused team that includes knowledgeable and talented department heads, 1,200 dedicated employees spread across four campuses and 31 distinct departments.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:-Oversight of operations, including budget preparation and financial management-Management of employees, including overseeing collective bargaining -Management of long-term projects and Board initiatives -Serve as a liaison between Board of Supervisors, Board committees and departments-Capital Project development and Strategic Planning-Continue to build a noteworthy workplace culture and spearhead recruitment efforts
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree plus six years of full-time management experience (public or private enterprise) OR a Master's degree in public administration or business administration and four years of full-time management experience OR the equivalent.
The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $205,000 and includes a full and comprehensive benefits package. The County Administrator reports to the County's 17-member Board of Supervisors and is appointed to a 4-year term of office.
