DESCRIPTION OF WORKYou will serve as a lead worker by assigning, participating in, and reviewing routine and specialized food service work performed by inmates in the areas of pre-preparation, production, service, and baking. You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations and inspecting all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established safety and sanitation standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. This schedule is subject to change based on operational needs; more information will be provided during the hiring process.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note, selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes).This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:You must be able to perform essential job functions.
