Who We Are
The Center for Advanced Computing provides a broad range of services that support the computational research needs of Cornell faculty. The Center's role is to enable and empower research capabilities and help Cornell's scientists, researchers, and scholars achieve new and innovative breakthrough research. Our team provides expertise on high performance compute clusters, cloud computing through our Red Cloud service, and technology and application consulting tailored to individual research needs.
What You Will Do
Provide computational support for academic research, which can include porting, parallelization, tuning, optimization, software libraries, visualization, and data management. Develop and deliver online training materials on topics such as GPU and parallel programming. Use AI to develop online training tools. Support cloud computing infrastructure and usage. Write technical documentation. Test and evaluate hardware and software technologies.

Masters degree in a field that utilizes computational methods.Background in computational researchAbility to identify, investigate, and research computational questions in parallel programming (e.g. MPI, OpenMP), as well as scalability, optimization, and performance analysis.Experience using software development tools and scientific workflows to facilitate the formulation and definition of systems scope and objectives for computational research projects
