CLERICAL ELIGIBILITY LIST POST

　　Welcome to the Genesee County Clerical Eligibility list posting. Genesee County creates a Clerical Eligibility List once a year for our clerical positions. Please read the minimum qualifications for each position. If you are deemed qualified, you will be invited to partake in a typing test. If you pass the typing test with the minimum requirement of 30 wpm net and you meet the minimum qualifications for the Account clerk, you will be placed on a Clerical Eligibility List. If you pass the typing test with the minimum of 30 wpm net for the Deputy Register, Deputy District Court Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Family Court Clerk, Program Clerk and Secretary, and you meet the minimum qualifications for them, you will be placed on the Clerical Eligibility List.

　　We post our clerical positions for 2 weeks internally, and if no one applies or is chosen, we contact applicants from the clerical eligibility list. This saves us time during the year when we are filling our clerical positions. If you pass the typing test, you will be placed on the clerical eligibility list. The list is good for one year.

　　Please read the minimum qualifications for each position. If you are deemed qualified, you will be invited to complete a typing test. If you do not pass the typing test, we allow individuals the opportunity to test three times in each calendar year.

　　ACCOUNT CLERK

　　MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (TREASURER'S OFFICE ONLY)

　　Two (2) years cash handling experience with daily balancing of cash drawer AND ability to type 30 net w.p.m AND Data Entry test with 95% accuracy.

　　MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　One (1) year of bookkeeping experience and ability to type 30 net w.p.m.

　　SECRETARY, PROGRAM CLERK, DEPUTY REGISTER, FAMILY COURT CLERK, CLERK RECORDER

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　Two (2) years' clerical experience and ability to type accurately 30 words per minute.

　　DEPUTY DISTRICT COURT CLERK

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　One (1) year of clerical experience OR

　　Experience working in a District Court;

　　AND the ability to type 30 net words per minute.

　　DEPUTY CLERK

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　One (1) year of clerical experience and the ability to type 30 net w.p.m.* OR*

　　Two (2) year degree in an area providing secretarial skills, six (6) months of clerical experience and the ability to type 30 net w.p.m.
