　　Responsibilities

　　Coordinate unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area.

　　Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Contribute to or performs performance evaluations of staff.

　　Assess daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.

　　Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.

　　Respond to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.

　　May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure / Certification / Registration:

　　BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

　　Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

　　Education:

　　Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experiencerequired.Additional Preferences

　　7 West is a 32 bed Med/Surg Telemetry with specialty patients in GYN and Oncology. We are looking for strong competent Registered Nurses who are looking to learn and establish a strong nursing foundation. The population we serve is a wide variety of diagnoses and clinical pathways including: AKI, ETOH Withdrawal, AMS/Falls, Sepsis, DKA, & surgical patients (GI, GU, OB-GYN, Basic Ortho and Neuro, Podiatry)...that is only scratching the surface.
