Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Princeton, NJ
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM-4PM, flexibility for those hours (7:30- 9 AM start)
Type: 6 month contract
Overview:
The Associate Scientist will work with other departmental researchers to solve problems using various analytical chemistry techniques. The Associate Chemist will use and sometimes develop analytical methodology to solve various technical challenges for product and process development scientists. The Associate Chemist will also provide technical guidance to other chemists and technicians in the department.
Responsibilities:
· Must be able to carry out technical assignments, validate results, draw conclusions, and write technical summaries.
· Modify analytical techniques for the quantitation of analytes, carry out method validation protocols.
· Modify QC test methodology for manufacturing plants and copackers, execute method transfer protocols
· Validate analytical testing methods following protocols
Must Haves:
BS or MS in Science
6 months -2 years industry experience
HPLC, ICPMS Chromatography, GCMS
Gxp preferred (specifically GLP) preferred but not required
Education and Experience
· BS in Chemistry or equivalent with <2 years industrial/technical experience
· Experience working independently with various analytical instruments
· Some experience in analytical problem-solving
· Knowledge of good laboratory practice
Skills and Competencies
· Must possess good, hands-on analytical laboratory skills
· Must be able to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
