Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growing Federally Qualified Health Center, is hiring a full time Call Center Representative. The Call Center Representative is an integral part of the team that provides outstanding patient support services, including answering the telephone, scheduling appointments with providers, documenting information in the electronic health record system, and performing related general office duties. The Call Center Representative is also cross-trained as a Front Office Coordinator and will work occasionally in the Front Office floating between our office locations.
Take patient calls and provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their scheduling needs, questions and concerns
De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering patient assistance and support
Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments, verify insurance and gather other information as assigned
Collaborate with other contact center professionals to improve access to care.
Transfer patient calls to medical assistants, nurses or physicians as appropriate
Provide necessary information to pharmacies, outside physician offices, hospitals, etc.
Help to train new employees and inform them about SHHC’s policies and best practices
Learn Front Office responsibilities to work in office as a Front Office Coordinator in our Brentwood and Squirrel Hill locations
Qualifications:
Current COVID vaccine and flu vaccine required.
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of and experience in medical insurance
Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills; and a strong mission orientation
Proven ability to multi-task
