Position SummaryThe Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) requires aResearch Analyst I to work within its central clinical research operations office. The incumbent will be an integral part of the JDMI research office working within a multidisciplinary team to support the various medical imaging research studies conducted at University Health Network, Sinai Health Systems, Women’s College Hospital and beyond.
DutiesThe incumbentrequirespreviousexperience in the administration and scheduling of clinical research studies, preferably from a research operations perspective and in a medical imaging setting. Primary responsibilities will include, butarenot limited to:
Collaborating with PI’s,cliniciansand multidisciplinary team members to support the booking and scheduling of clinical research studies across JDMI
Provide information on the accessibility of medical imaging services within JDMI for clinical research studies
Performs data transcription from health records or other sources, as per approved study protocol and authorized access
Mayassistin interactions with study participants (e.g., scheduling appointments, other administrative functions)
Executes study-related administrative tasks, such as collection and maintenance of regulatory documents, etc.
Provides assistancewith the maintenanceandmodification of electronicandpaper information filing/retrieval methods, systems and/or formats
Support the core research operations team with tasks related to bookings, data management, business intelligence and finances
Ensure proposed and ongoing clinical research studiesare in compliance withICH/GCP, tri-council guidelines, PHIPA, Health Canada/FDA regulations, JDMI policies, and any other applicable policies or regulations
Apply general research principles, concepts and techniques relating to data collection and management to perform well-defined tasks and analyses
Mayparticipatein departmentalreview of data collectionstrategies
Participatein ongoing innovation and enhancement efforts
Exercisemoderate judgment and decision making using established policies and procedures to resolve problems
Seeks direction on choice of work methods and resolution of more complex problems (e.g., questionnaire administration)
Seeks approval for work results and conformity to assignment objectives

QualificationsBachelor’s degree,or recognized equivalent, in a health or science-related discipline preferred
1-year related experience preferred
Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems, patient scheduling systems/software isrequired
Experience with Radiology Information Systems and Epicis preferred
Demonstratedknowledge of applicable clinical research regulations,policiesand guidelines
Demonstratedattention to detail
Exceptional organization and time-management skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced,time-sensitive environment, and meet tight deadlines
