The PARII works as a partner in the clinic together with the practitioners,assistive clinical staff, other administrative staff and leadership toprovide a welcoming, caring and healing environment for patients. Wherethis position deals directly with patients and family members, the PARII is responsible to ensure that patients\' needs are listened to,understood and resolved within the scope of this job description. ThePAR II is primarily responsible for welcoming and orienting patient toclinic including the full patient registration process, insuranceenrollment, explanation of the patient rights and responsibilities andconnection to wrap-around services. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS The list of dutiesand responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to includeother duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary fromtime to time. CORPORATE VALUES * Maintain patient confidentiality andfunctions within the guidelines of HIPAA. * Ability to function wellwhile involved in multiple tasks and assignments. * Ability toconcentrate on details while experiencing frequent interruptions. *Review all company messaging systems at the beginning and end of everyshift. * Welcome and orient new patients to the facility. * Connectpatients to wrap-around services, including, but not limited to; Agingand Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Badger Care, Wisconsin Well WomanProgram (WWWP), medication assistance. * Coordinate patienttransportation assistance. * Interact with all patients in aprofessional and courteous manner. * Ability to direct all incomingcalls to appropriate staff. * Other duties as assigned. REGISTRATION *Verify and update patient demographic information. * Verify and updatepatient insurance information and select appropriate guarantor perservice line during check-in process. * Initiate new patient fullregistration process. * Record patient demographics in EHR to satisfyUniversal Data Set (UDS) requirements. * Coordinate handoff to IntakeRegistered Nurse. SCHEDULING * Ability to appropriately take accuratedetailed messages and send them to the appropriate person via theElectronic Health Record (EHR). * Identify triage situations inpatients through red flag words and terminology during patientinteraction. * Work collaboratively with nursing staff to scheduleurgent visits. * Schedule and reschedule...
