Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Associate Simulator Technician to support our F‐15C Mission Training Center at Kingsley Field ANGB, OR, near Klamath Falls.
This position will work with a team of 6 simulator technicians in classified office and industrial area daily, rotating between 1st and 2nd shift.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports and maintains the F‐15 T2 Full Mission Trainers, Weapons and Tactics Trainers, and associated visual systems and peripherals at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base, OR and other remote locations, as needed
Repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators
Performs general inspections for pre‐operations, post‐operations, and component handling of training devices, assemblies, and components
Inspects components and/or Line‐Replaceable Units (LRUs) to verify status prior to installation
Assists less experienced simulator technicians with operations, repairs, tests, installs, configuration changes and upgrades
Assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware, and software
Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment
Troubleshoots to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
Assists instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missions, both local and using the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC) Network
Establishes DTOC connections and coordinates on-site equipment maintenance, as required
Performs logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devices
Performs administrative information technology security duties and works with local ISSM/ISSO to maintain systems accreditation
Assists Site Lead Technician with established weekly status, monthly availability and utilization reports
Works under limited supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
B asic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years' experience in aircraft flight simulator training device maintenance, or experience in aircraft avionics / electronics or computer network and information systems, visual display systems or simulation systems
Current CompTIA Sec+ certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date
Must be willing to work rotating shifts, to include one to two weekend days per month, as required by the Air National Guard
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds to a height of five feet on a frequent basis
Must be able to climb ladders at heights up to 15 feet and stairs on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years’ experience in fighter aircraft maintenance (F-15, F-22, F-18, etc.), avionics, crew chief, E&E or similar systems
Experience with computer operating systems, visual and display systems, Cisco switches, software including Microsoft Windows and Linux RedHat.
Associates degree or equivalent electrical and/or avionics experience
CompTIA A+ certification and/or Network+ certification preferred

Shift:
This position is for rotational shift:
1st shift hours are 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
2nd shift hours are 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Weekend hours, as required, 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
Relocation:

Hourly pay: $34.47 - $38.48
