SUMMARY OF POSITION:* *The School of Computer Science, Information, & Engineering Technology at Youngstown State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty assistant professor position to begin in August 2024.

　　The successful candidate is expected to develop their area of expertise into a thriving field of study at the University and must demonstrate promise to maintain an active research agenda. The candidate will be expected to teach courses related to Computer Science and Information Technology at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The candidate will be expected to seek research grants to support their area of expertise and develop a successful curriculum surrounding it.

　　POSITION INFORMATION:* *Responsibilities will include but not be limited to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, conducting research and scholarship in the area of expertise, seeking external funding, effectively communicating and interacting with students, contributing to curricular development and assessment efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels, establishing interdisciplinary collaboration across the University or other organizations, and performing service to the University.

　　Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

　　Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

　　Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility ofsome weekend days.

　　Minimum Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in computer science or a related areas.
