This long-term contract Collections Specialist position is available in the Union City, California area.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received

　　Administer all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines

　　Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations

　　Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

　　Register all customer payments to the correct reports

　　Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

　　Guarantee the processing of payments

　　Take care of inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

　　Oversee and update customer files to ensure data accuracy

　　Requirements - Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired

　　2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

　　Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

　　Expertise in Credit Card Reconciliation

　　Cash applications experience

　　Ability to survey and make decisions regarding customer accounts
