Position DescriptionThe role of the application engineer is to support domestic and internationalsales channels in the preparation of quotations and technical proposals. Thisposition is based in Arvada, CO, USA.
Job Duties & Responsibilities* Primary responsibility is to size, select, and develop quotations forcentrifugal process gas compressors* Support the sales channel, fielding technical product and applicationquestions, and participate in pre-award technical discussions to assist inclosing orders* Review inquiries to understand goals of the project, customer needs, andspecifications to develop a quote strategy and scope of supply* Prepare technical proposals complete with scope of supply, data sheets,performance curves, lube/seal/process P&ID's, general arrangementdrawings, bid clarifications, and procedures* Collaborate with internal departments assisting in quotation development* Review customer purchase orders ensuring compliance with quoted equipmentand specifications* Transfer job with all applicable data to project management after order isreceived. Participate in a handoff meeting and act as a technical advisor asappropriate throughout the job.* Shares technical information and training with other departments.* Interface with vendors as needed to quote appropriate equipment* Perform Continuous Improvement projects as identified
Skills & Abilities* Professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability tocommunicate with all levels of personnel* Experience working in a team valuing communication, participation andinvolvement of others
Qualifications* BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field* Equipment packaging, project management, and/or process plantexperience are a plus* 3-5 years of relevant engineering work experience* Commercial experience; terms and conditions, pricing, negotiations,INCO terms* MS Office Suite* Knowledge and understanding of centrifugal compressors and pumps;familiarity with P&ID's* Demonstrated knowledge working with detailed specifications supportinggeneral industry applications; for example, API-617, API-614, API-692* Mechanical training and aptitude* Ability to deliver exemplary customer service to both external and internalcustomers* Must work well under pressure to meet deadlines* Some travel to support sales channel and customers (less than 10%)

Compensation DetailsAnnual Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00
Additional Compensation The Salary offered will be determined based on theapplicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities,and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for thisposition. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through thecompany bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive aRelocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with theSundyne Relocation Policy.
