The Director, Communications is askilled business communicator who asks thoughtful questions to create astory, translate complex business concepts into engaging content anddemonstrate creativity across channels to reach a variety of audiences. Leadthe development and execution of innovative, high-impact communicationsstrategies designed to engage employees and enhance the company's culture,mission, vision, values, strategic imperatives, and overall brand.Oversee communications for CSG's Strategic Solution Units (SSU) and ouroverall business communication strategy.
Lead, develop, execute, and measure global corporate communications projects.
Lead the development of communications that are fresh, creative, andengaging; regularly exploring new ideas and approaches.Oversee and ensure that internal communication messages align with externalmessaging and branding.Anticipate audience questions and concerns to proactively shape effectivemessaging.Act as true strategic partner and consultant to stakeholders.Use engagement metrics and feedback to continually refine approach andmessaging.
Collaborate with internal teams across all levels and geographies to developand manage creative, thoughtful, and impactful communications to improvestrategic alignment at CSG.
Partner with business and other senior leadership to develop and coordinatekey messaging, acting as a trusted advisor and critical member of extendedleadership teams.Learn CSG's core businesses in order to provide sound communication counselto business leaders.Collaborate with marketing and business partners to develop campaigns, asneeded and appropriate.Ensure major initiatives, projects, and awareness strategies aresuccessfully communicated to employees and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with communications leadership team to progress communicationspractices and processes at CSG.
Keep current on technology trends and communications measurement methods tocontinually update and improve approach and content.Make continuous improvements to style, layout, editorial standards, andpublication methods; tailoring to the intended audience with the appropriatemessaging.Monitor and improve the workflow with the teams to maximize efficiency andoverall quality of deliverables.Contribute to and occasionally own broader communications improvement programsand policies.
Oversee a team of high-level communications professionals focused onsupporting the business, and manage resources to enable high quality output.
Manage assignments of teammates, ensuring relentless prioritization.Responsible for effective demonstration of managerial practices to include:the identification and recruitment of key strategic talent globally,providing day-to-day leadership to the comms team, the establishment ofclear roles, responsibilities, and lines of business support for teammembers, as well as the overall coaching and performance management of ahigh performing team.
Share best practices, insights, and research with team members to helpdeliver on our vision of providing the audience with the right message at theright time.
What you will do
Report to the Executive Director of CSG's global Corporate Communicationsteam, and partner with teammates and business leaders across the company tomanage key communications initiatives that have a tangible impact on CSGemployees across the world.Act as strategic advisor and thought partner to some of CSG's most seniorleaders.Contribute to the formation of new and innovative communications practices atthe company.Strategically create and manage compelling, impactful messaging that helpsinfluence understanding and attitudes, change behaviors, and producedesired outcomes.Write and edit communications that are fresh, creative, and engaging regularly develop and explore new ideas and approaches.Find creative and compelling ways to elevate business stories for broadinternal audiences.Ensure internal communication messages align with external messaging andbranding.Keep current on technology trends, communications measurement, and bestpractices to continually improve approaches and content.
What you should have
A minimum of 12 years of experience in communications or related field,extensive corporate B2B communications preferred.A Bachelor's degree in Communications, related field, or equivalentexperience.An innovative and scalable approach to building and enhancing globalcommunications teams.Top-notch writing and comms planning skills, with demonstrated experience ofa "thought partner" mindset.Strong executive presence, with the ability to think critically and exercisegood communications judgment to advise senior leadership.Stellar project management, organizational skills and attention to detail,
