Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Jackson, Michigan. The role involves managing accounts payable, reconciling accounts, running checks, coding invoices and data entry. This is a contract role that offers a variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices in an accurate and timely manner

• Manage paper and electronic filing systems for financial documents

• Locate and resolve issues with missing invoices

• Collaborate with the purchasing department to address missing purchase orders

• Utilize AS400 system for various accounting tasks

• Use Excel to organize and analyze financial data

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Run checks for accounts payable

• Code invoices correctly to ensure proper accounting

• Assist in other duties as assigned within the account payable function Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Account Reconciliation

• Ability to conduct Check Runs

• Skill in Coding Invoices

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Mastery of Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with AS400 software

• Manufacturing industry background preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
