Overview:Assists in the coordination and expediting of the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within the plant. Notifies purchasing of inventory levels and need for raw material regarding future manufacturing schedules.Responsibilities:Responsible for finished goods, components, and raw material inventories.Measures production and delivery performance and regularly communicates performance results.Responsible for generating work assignments for employees assigned to shipping and receiving.Assists in coordinating the physical inventories and perform inventory counts.Develops and implements improvements in shipping and material handling systems.Communicates shipping and delivery issues to employees, managers, and customers.Schedules and monitors the production of prototypes.Develops programs for tracking and improving WIP inventory.Assists in shipping, receiving, customer service, scheduling, and inventory control activities.Responsible for the distribution of all received goods and storage of some of the items.Develops shipping priorities along with master scheduler and operations manager.Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping regulations.Compiles records of unfilled orders. Posts weight and shipping charges. Prepares bills of lading.Must be able to fulfill all customer requirements associated with the position.Assists the Materials CoordinatorServes as the backup for the Shipping and Receiving ClerkPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School DiplomaHigher Education preferred.Two plus years of experience in Shipping/Receiving, Production Scheduling, Inventory Management for OEMIntermediate level in computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft, Excel, Power point, etc.)Outstanding communication skills, both oral and writtenOutstanding Attention-to-detail and follow-up skillsOutstanding organizational skillsStanding and walking up to 60% of the work time.May regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.Noise level is typical manufacturing areas.Frequently works near machinery with moving parts.
