Description This successful company is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their ranks as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This position could take the right candidate's career to the next level. A dynamic organization with a growing team seeks an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The permanent opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the Detroit, Michigan area.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

　　Manage full-cycle A/P

　　Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

　　Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

　　Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

　　Help with internal and external audits as required

　　Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

　　Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

　　Carry out additional projects as required Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Journal entries experience highly desired

　　Strong familiarity with Coding Invoices

　　Command of Code Invoices

　　Foundational knowledge in 3 Way Matching

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

　　Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

　　3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
