We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our team to install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems applications at satellite facilities in the Virginia, Maryland, DC area supporting large scale government programs. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will collaborate and work closely with Software Developers to create and install software and assist with coding, testing, system reviews, and compiling scripts. You will also work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deploy, maintain, and ensure successful software operation at satellite facilities to meet Program requirements.

*This position requires 75% on-site time in King George VA and travel in the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience.

Secret security clearance.

Eight years of Systems Engineer experience, preferably in the government sector.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to relate to and understand customer needs in order to build relationships and drive customer success.

Excellent communication, computer, and analytical skills.

Desired Certifications:

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

VMware Certified Professional 5

Software Engineering Master Certification

Amazon Web Services Certified DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with development teams and program leadership to plan and execute deployment strategies and timelines.

Manage software versioning and ensure proper code repository maintenance.

Implement automation tools and scripts for efficient and consistent deployments.

Conduct thorough testing to verify functionality and compatibility of deployed software.

Monitor live deployments, identify issues, and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.

Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes and configurations.

You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various stakeholders to deploy software applications and updates ensuring they function properly at satellite facilities.
