Corporate (Privacy and Data Security) Associate - All Offices

Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening for an associate in the Corporate Department for a Privacy and Data Security Associate. This position can reside in any of the Firm’s 30 offices. The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience with federal, state, and international data privacy laws. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Strong academic record and excellent writing skills required.

Experience in compliance with new and upcoming privacy laws (e.g., CPRA, SHIELD Act, VA CDPA, CO CPA, and GDPR), data incident response, and HIPAA/HITECH preferred.

An understanding of cybersecurity threats companies face preferred.

Work Environment Physical Demands:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.Visual Acuity

The salary ranges for this position apply to California, Colorado, Nevada, New York, Washington, and Washington, DC. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000 in Nevada, $195,000 to $235,000 in Washington, $195,000 to $235,000 (bonus eligibility with qualifiers) in Colorado, $200,000 to $240,000 in California, and $205,000 to $245,000 in New York and Washington, D.C.
