Reporting directly to the CFO, in this role you will assume a wide range of responsibilities within the “end-to-end” Business Administration function of two Dutch financing companies of Siemens. You are part of a team of 5 colleagues and work closely with the Management Board of Siemens Financieringsmaatschappij N.V. and Siemens Finance B.V., as well as with international colleagues in the wider Controlling and Finance, Financing (CF F) organization, including Munich Head Office. You will also build good connections with Siemens Netherlands’ Tax, Legal and Risk/Internal Controls functions.

You create impact by:

Performing monthly financial closings, including data analysis and control.

Preparing interim and annual statutory financial reports.

Supporting quarterly reviews and annual audits of IFRS and statutory accounts, including preparing and providing supporting documents for auditors and acting as point of contact for auditor questions and requests.

Carrying out daily accounting/controlling tasks e.g. booking deals, entering into FX transactions, cash pool management, posting accounting entries.

Preparing and submitting reports to the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).

Supporting local Risk and Internal Control processes.

Hands-on involvement with digitalization projects.

You will be based at the Dutch Siemens Head Quarters in The Hague, Netherlands and will play a key role in the financial closings every first week of the month. The busiest time of year for the team is from October to December. Regarding process optimalisation, you can work with tools such as Tableau, Alteryx and Power BI.

Your success is grounded in:

You have an analytical attitude, like to pay close attention to details. You enjoy working independently as well as within a team, and are able to making decisions and set priorities, even when faced with fixed deadlines.

University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Economics/Business/Finance.

3 to 5 years’ experience in an accounting/finance function, and/or an audit firm.

Proficiency in IFRS or equivalent.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch and/or German would be a bonus).

Interested in improving business processes, focused on automation and digitalisation

Professional accounting qualification is preferred, but ‘qualified by experience’ is also acceptable.
