The Product Sales unit is seeking a motivated and professional candidate who can work independently and is knowledgeable in using database programs. This position will be processing daily timber data reports for the Contract Harvest section for the forested state trust lands that contribute to income for counties and their junior taxing districts, school construction funds, and other trust beneficiaries.In this position, you will be part of a team committed to sustainable forest management and revenue production. Your role in the team will include uploading data, correcting errors, monitoring daily timber loads, contacting 3rd party contractors, bi-monthly accounts payable, and monthly billings. This position requires an understanding of how databases work and data entry skills to prepare timber sales. This position will allow you to use your critical thinking skills when encountering minor issues and errors to solve discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
Independently imports, edits, and checks daily log scaling data.Works with 3rd party scaling company to request missing data.Creates reports summarizing daily deliveries to distribute the reports to designated staff.Post daily reports to Sharepoint.Uses agency accounting, budget, and financial reporting systems to research and correct discrepancies.Compiles harvester payments twice monthly and produces monthly log sales invoices.Prepares Harvester billings for payment processing.Prepares and enters upcoming Contract Harvest timber sales in the database.Reconciles month-end and creates reports to distribute to designated staff.Works with region timber administrators to resolve log scale or financial errors.Uploads monthly expenses and reconciles road payments.Prepares and emails monthly log surveys and other data reports to professional logistics companies.*Required Qualifications: *
- - College-level coursework in accounting and a minimum of two years of progressively complex accounting experience.
