　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　Read and understand work orders verifying correct substrate, bind type, ink color, and run lengths.Learn to interpret the information on the work order and its contents.Follow the daily running order provided by the Scheduling Team.Communicate with the Supervisor and Scheduling Team as needed.Set up machine and perform quality printing and folding of text and halftone work.Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies, job changeovers, and folder changeovers.Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved.Maintain accurate data collection.Understand substrate -- weights, PPI, size, grain direction, coating, marking, and storage.Oversee all segments of press operation.Ensure bundles conform to bindery needs including proper identification.Be sure all waste is disposed of properly including printed and blank substrate, inks, and fountain solution.Perform preventative maintenance, general cleaning, and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment.Provide training to Assistant in machine operation and safety; ensure Assistant performs duties as necessary.Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.Assist maintenance personnel with machine repair.Exercise initiative, ask questions, and look for ways of improving productivity.Keep the area safe and clean.Adequately communicate with oncoming shiftPerform end-of-shift duties leaving the area ready for the oncoming shift.Other duties as assigned* *

　　BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

　　High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.One year of printing experience.Ability to read and comprehend instructions.Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.Basic problem-solving skills.

　　Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, 20lbs constantly
