Job Description

A partner of Insight Global is looking for a technical DBA to join their team. This partner is looking for a team-oriented person with a deep understanding of database administration (SQL Server and Sybase) to help support their team. Above all they are looking for someone that is passionate about public service, building positive team culture, being a leader, innovative, and adheres to industry best practices. This individual will be responsible for running with the day-to-day functions and maintenance for the current database. This will include running with the data fixes once a week, correcting any invalid information that was added, and working with the development and testing teams to provide access when needed. This team will be migrating from Sybase to SQL in the next 3 years so a primary function of this role will be to help with that migration and make sure that the day-to-day tasks are maintained while this takes place. This position offers long term opportunity and is on a hybrid schedule 2 days on site 3 days WFH.

*On call 1 week every 5 weeks (volume varies but you can expect roughly 10 extra hours)

$42 to $55 hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

5+ years of experience in Sybase Database Support

Experience in SQL Database Support

5+ years of experience working in a UNIX environment, Windows OS

Strong computer hardware/software troubleshooting skills.

Experience with clustering and linking of data Pluses:

Experience in a database migration
