　　Pay rate: $21/hour, 40 hours/week

　　Housing: provided on-site for a fee

　　Job Description: Assist with data collection and compilation in the mountainous Adirondack Park, New York to evaluate the ecological impacts of recreation on public lands. Duties include:

　　sampling plants, insects, vertebrates, soundscapes and other indicators

　　data entry and report-writing

　　maintaining and transporting equipment and samples

　　travel to field sites, hiking in remote areas and some overnight camping is required

　　Job Requirements:

　　Required Qualifications: The successful candidates must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be able to access and navigate remote locations by foot, ability to hike long distances in strenuous conditions while carrying equipment and be able to work alone when necessary. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.

　　Preferred Qualifications: College degree (or working towards a degree) in ecology, natural resources, or similar field; experience with field work; good organizational, communication and team-building skills; proficiency in writing and use of spreadsheets.
