Description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced personal injury litigation paralegal for a law firm in Waterbury. The position initially will be part-time, five days a week, with the potential to become full-time dependent on performance and staffing needs.

Location: Waterbury, CT

Type: Part-time initially (20-25 hours per week), with the potential to work full time

Responsibilities include:

1) Opening files and taking intake calls

2) Retrieving police reports

) Obtaining medical records

4) Tabulating bills and expenses

5) Following up with clients, doctors, and insurance companies

6) Drafting disclosures

7) Managing calendars, milestones, and deadlines

8) Preparing for trials, including setting up trial binders

A successful candidate must have previous experience in personal injury litigation and be able to deal with a high-paced work environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills are also essential.

Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant software is required.

• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat software is essential.

• Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is needed.

• Competence in using Case Management Software is necessary.

• Proficiency in CompuLaw software is a must.

• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently is necessary.

• Experience in Briefing is required.

• Proficiency in Calendar Management is necessary.

• Experience in Claim Administration is essential.

• Excellent Communication skills are required.

• Experience in Personal Injury Litigation is necessary.

• Experience working with Personal Injury Plaintiffs is a must.

• Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal is necessary.

• Ability to Maintain Calendar efficiently is a must.

• Familiarity with ProLaw - Calendaring is required.
