The Manufacturing Associate will be assigned to operate safely a varietyof equipment such as palletizers, wrappers, forklifts and other relatedequipment within the Plant. (S)he will contribute to the overalldepartment production goals and maintain a clean and safe workenvironment.
Essential Duties:
Closely monitor the dairy production processPerform changeovers as needed per the production schedule.Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficultiesand communicate all issues related to maintaining and operatingequipment in a timely manner.Clean equipment and perform other routine maintenance as assigned byMaintenance or the SupervisorReassemble equipment after maintenance, clean up, and changeoversOperate all equipment following SOPs/training materials and adjustequipment, as needed, to efficiently and effectively operate theproduction line with minimal down time.Follow Quality Assurance standards and collect required samples, asneeded, for Quality Assurance testingEnsure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurateformat, and completed with required information.Follow all required work safe practices. This would includecompliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all requiredPPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemicalhandling, fall restraints, etc.Other duties as assignedQualifications:
High school Diploma or GED preferredExperience working in manufacturing plant a plus but not requiredAbility to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Fluency in English; speak, read and writeAbility to work in a cold and wet environment for prolonged periodsof time.Ability to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging fromcold to hotFlexible and willing to work the demands of the department which maybe subject to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.Physical Demands:
Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects,tools, or controlsRegularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlOccasionally sit and occasionally climb ladders or work on aplatformRegularly lift and /or move up to 50 poundsCorporate Summary
