ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of a licensed Orthodontist, the post-doctoral fellow will provide pediatric dental care to evaluate tooth and jaw development and growth for craniofacial and cleft patients at Seattle Children's Dental Clinic. Provides special care orthodontics in collaboration with the speech pathologists, oral surgeons, and craniofacial plastic surgeons. Primarily treats conditions, defects, injuries and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face for children and adolescents with craniofacial anomalies. Actively assists to provide clinical training and education to residents in Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Plastic Surgery.RequirementsRequired Education/Experience:Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or DMD Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).Advanced training in an Orthodontics program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission.Advanced Dental Education in Orthodontics.Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children's and other sites as applicable.Required Credentials:Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's.Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.Questions regarding medical or allied health professional staff privileges may be directed to Medical Staff Services.Preferred:Previous experience working with children and adolescents with medically compromised and developmentally delayed pediatric patients and patients with craniofacial anomalies.Min to Max Hourly Salary$32.49 - $43.95 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$67,575.00 - $91,425.00 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
