The Wind Segment Sales Manager has the task of delivering the service portfolio to ABB customers within the Wind, Motion System Drives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, helping to drive sales volumes and margins across the Service product portfolio and regularly updating the database with changes made on site.You will be responsible for achieving order targets and growing ABB's market share for products and service solutions in the high power/performance product platform of MV (Medium Voltage) and LV (Low Voltage) Drives and Generators, by increasing the spend of existing customers, attracting new customers and service partners and leading large project pursuits aligned with the strategy of the local business. This role requires strong leadership and networking skills to collaborate with ABB's global account managers and sales network to develop capture team pursuits of sales opportunities.Strategy implementation will be critical to success. This is not a reactive role. This is an active selling role; where planning, studying and measuring the landscape is only the beginning. Executing the plan and closing business and manage the relationship are critical success factors. This will be through understanding the ever changing market trends, customers, competitors in order to identify and realize opportunities with existing and potential new customers.

Support Global Account Managers in connecting to customer regional teams to facilitate collaboration in reaching local sales targetsMaintain customer relationships and ensure customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their businessRepresent the company in conferences, tradeshows and meetings with customers, government agencies and industry associationsGenerate a prioritized target account / project pursuit database based on sales strategyInfluence activities related to pursuing key projects with the segment including helping to define winning positioning strategiesProvides monthly sales forecasts and specific reports on sales developmentBuild relationships with third party partners to complement the offering if neededYour background
Bachelor degree (engineering degree preferred) and 10+ years of experience in Wind Energy or related industrial sectors or Associate degree (engineering degree preferred) and 12+ years of experience in Wind Energy or related industrial sectors or High School Diploma/GED and 14+ years of experience in the Wind Energy or related industrial sectors requiredTravel up to 75% requiredSolid understanding of onshore and offshore wind power generationUnderstanding of Drives and Generator product applications in wind energy production highly preferredSalesforce, Power BI knowledge a plusCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits
