Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This role involves a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and receivable in a fast-paced work environment. The successful candidate will be able to handle tasks such as processing checks, recording online payments, and handling invoices accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Enter checks into the accounting system with precision

• Record online payments to maintain up-to-date records

• Process credit card payments via phone ensuring customer satisfaction

• Handle weekly check runs to manage the company's cash flow

• Process invoices and match them with receivables slip from the relevant department

• Send out notes with collections needed for the next day

• Collaborate with the sales team regarding collections

• Run weekly aging reports and work off of that regarding collections

• Make outbound collection calls to resolve outstanding accounts

• Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, and QuickBooks to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Proficiency in invoice processing

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Strong attention to detail

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred but not mandatory

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
