Summary You will serve as a WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR in the NUCLEAR PRODUCTION MANAGER DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will maintain proper chemical requirements while ensuring one hundred percent accountability of water moved. You will perform water tests and measurements that require a working knowledge of various chemistry and radiological components. You will operate processing tanks, filters, system pumps, flow meters, complex valves, and various system gauges. You will prepare metal surfaces for painting and inspection by using hand and power wire steel brushes, sanders, grinders, or other various site preparation tooling.
